John Ferry

Ten years of experience in Army Special Forces and Long Range Surveillance. Combat experience in Afghanistan with 20th Special Forces Group. Civilian career includes program integration and process team management in support of the Joint IED Defeat Organization, test and evaluation management of Counter-IED systems for the Army Test and Evaluation Command, and most recently Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution for the Army G-39 / Cyberspace and Information Operations Division.

Marshall Frith

Twelve years’ experience in Defense Research and Development activities within the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Particular technical expertise on Close Air Support (CAS), tactical geospatial mapping, small unmanned aircraft systems operations and flight, and C4I software to include expertise on usage/training/development for Tactical Assault Kit (TAK). Programmatic and technical lead for DARPA on previous programs to include, Persistent Close Air Support (PCAS), Remote Advise Assist (RAA), and current programmatic and technical lead on Centralized Control for Commercial Drones (C3D) and functional lead within the Adaptive Execution Office for TAK, small unmanned aircraft systems, and Internet of Things (IoT) integration for DARPA progammatic efforts.

Tory Hill

Former career U.S. Navy submariner with 23 years of experience encompassing at-sea operations and extensive training on, and exposure to, various mainframe, auxiliary and developmental sonar-related systems and sensors. Comprehensive knowledge of Naval systems engineering principles and practices. Fifteen years managing submarine operations in diverse environments, from missile deterrent patrols on strategic missile submarines to brown water, Northern Atlantic, and Pacific deployments onboard attack submarines. Developed, reviewed and validated detailed documentation for all VIRGINIA Class Combat Systems Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS). Developed sonar training documentation in support of crew manning of the first VIRGINIA Class submarines. Developed group-based training for an acoustic interception and countermeasures system to enable an automatic response to torpedo attacks. Assists clients with the implementation of collaborative information technology solutions, technology roadmapping tools, data analysis, and information systems architecture improvements.

Steven James

More than 20 years of experience in DoD and private sector advanced technology research. Expertise in program management, technology development and integration focused on space and aeronautical systems, UAV systems, offensive/defensive weapons and systems design, and related sectors. Leadership experience in research planning and execution, systems engineering, prototype acquisition, and demonstration/testing in support of several high-risk, high-payoff DARPA programs. Former assignments include Lead Pilot, US Air Force Institute of Technology; Chief Project Manager and Lead Pilot on more than 250 Air Force missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom; and Aircraft Weapons Systems Specialist, Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Peter LeHew

Over 25 years of professional aviation experience, including 21+ years in the US Air Force flying fixed wing, rotary wing and unmanned aircraft in cargo, combat search and rescue, special operations, and ISR mission sets. Established USSOCOM’s UAS/RPA capability before serving as initial cadre for the Joint UAS Center of Excellence and then Air Staff’s Director of RPA Innovations. Transitioned to industry where he served as Director of UAS and Flight Operations overseeing flight and test operations across a spectrum of manned, unmanned and optionally piloted aircraft to include setting the world record for flight endurance with Orion UAS.

Robert Medve, PMP®

20+ years of professional experience in sea-based rotary wing aviation operations, science & technology program management, operational test & evaluation, international project management, strategic planning, and international military exercise development. Expertise includes U.S. Navy technology transition, weapons of mass destruction (WMD) non-proliferation and border security, antisubmarine warfare, maritime interdiction, and medical evacuation. Experience with Defense Science Board (DSB), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), and Commander Operational Test & Evaluation Force (COTF).

Diverse assignments include tours aboard attack and ballistic missile submarines, Operations Officer for SEAL Delivery Team ONE, NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, OIC Strategic Systems Detachment Cape Canaveral, Nuclear Surety Inspector for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and UUV Requirements Officer on the Chief of Naval Operations staff.
